KSrelief's Measles Vaccination Drive Benefits 15,000 Yemeni Children
The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) recently conducted a measles vaccination campaign in Yemen. This initiative, running from April 29 to May 30, targeted children in the Midi and Hayran districts, parts of Haradh and Abs in Hajjah Governorate, and northwestern Razih district in Saada Governorate.
During the campaign, 15,415 children received vaccinations from 17 health workers across the specified districts. The aim was to enhance these regions' capacity to combat and manage measles through essential vaccines and supplies. This effort is part of KSrelief's broader mission to improve healthcare services throughout Yemen.

In addition to providing vaccinations, the campaign also focused on educating the local population about measles. Approximately 2,000 brochures and informative posters were distributed to highlight the risks of measles to children's health and the importance of vaccination in preventing severe complications.
The project also identified 1,134 pregnant and lactating women, along with 1,030 newborns in the targeted areas. This data aims to facilitate healthcare service planning for both displaced and host communities. Such efforts are crucial for improving healthcare services across Yemen.
This initiative is part of Saudi Arabia's ongoing commitment to combating diseases and epidemics through KSrelief. By curbing the spread of diseases across all governorates and regions of Yemen, KSrelief aims to meet essential needs for a dignified life for the Yemeni populace.
The campaign underscores KSrelief's dedication to enhancing healthcare in Yemen by providing necessary medical interventions and educational resources. These efforts are vital for safeguarding children's health against measles and other preventable diseases.
