KSrelief Launches Local Capacity-Development Project To Improve Literacy For Disabled Individuals In Yemen

The King Salman Relief and Humanitarian Aid Center (KSrelief) has initiated the second phase of a project in Aden Governorate, Yemen. This initiative focuses on teaching illiterate individuals and those with disabilities. The project aims to equip participants with modern techniques for teaching speech and language, enhancing their skills, and empowering administrators to support teachers effectively.

In this phase, 834 educators and administrators will receive training to enhance their abilities. This effort is expected to improve the quality of education for children facing speech and language challenges in various governorates, including Aden, Hadramout, Al-Dhale, Lahj, Shabwa, and Al-Mahra.

KSrelief's New Literacy Project in Yemen

The project is set to benefit 9,747 people. Among them are 6,527 individuals with disabilities and 2,389 illiterate students. This initiative is part of a broader series of humanitarian efforts by KSrelief aimed at tackling educational challenges in Yemen.

Dr. Aref Al-Qutaibi from the Literacy and Adult Education Authority praised KSrelief's efforts. He highlighted that such projects play a crucial role in eradicating illiteracy and building a brighter future for all involved.

Participants have expressed their appreciation for this opportunity provided by KSrelief. They believe it enhances their professional skills and positively impacts their performance. The knowledge gained from these courses contributes significantly to improving the educational process within their centers.
