KSrelief Initiates Local Capacity Development Project To Enhance Literacy In Aden Governorate
The King Salman Relief and Humanitarian Aid Center (KSrelief) has initiated the second phase of a project in Aden Governorate, Yemen. This phase focuses on enhancing local capacities by teaching illiterate individuals and those with disabilities. Participants receive training in modern methods for teaching speech and language, along with practical applications to boost their skills and administrative capabilities.
In this initiative, 834 teachers and administrators will undergo training to enhance their skills. This effort aims to improve the quality of education for children facing speech and language challenges in various governorates, including Aden, Hadramout, Al-Dhale, Lahj, Shabwa, and Al-Mahra.

The project is expected to benefit 9,747 individuals. Among them are 6,527 people with disabilities and 2,389 illiterate students. This initiative is part of a broader series of humanitarian projects by KSrelief aimed at addressing educational challenges in Yemen.
Dr. Aref Al-Qutaibi, Deputy Head of the Literacy and Adult Education Authority, praised KSrelief's efforts. He highlighted how such projects play a crucial role in eradicating illiteracy and building a brighter future for all involved.
Participants have expressed their gratitude for this opportunity provided by KSrelief. They noted that the training helps improve the quality of education while enhancing their professional skills. The knowledge gained from these courses positively impacts their performance and contributes to educational development in their centers.
This project is part of Saudi Arabia's ongoing humanitarian efforts through KSrelief. It aims to support educational institutions in overcoming challenges related to disability support and literacy improvement in Yemen.
The initiative not only empowers educators but also ensures a supportive learning environment for students with special needs. By doing so, it addresses two significant barriers that hinder effective integration into Yemeni society: disability support and literacy.
