KSrelief Launches Nine Humanitarian Projects In Sudan To Boost Health, Water And Protection
King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has launched nine new humanitarian projects in Port Sudan, targeting health, water, environmental sanitation, and protection services across several Sudanese states, with senior Sudanese and Saudi officials attending the inauguration ceremony.
The initiatives, implemented in coordination with Sudanese authorities, aim to support communities affected by conflict and displacement, strengthen key public services, and back wider recovery and reconstruction efforts in Khartoum, Al-Jazirah, Blue Nile, White Nile, North Kordofan, Northern State, and River Nile State.

A core focus of the KSrelief humanitarian projects in Sudan is water supply, with several schemes targeting both urban and displacement-affected areas. Fifteen fully equipped modern water stations are being built in four localities in Northern State, serving communities impacted by population movements.
Under the KSrelief humanitarian projects in Sudan, nine modern water stations are also being established in densely populated districts across three localities in River Nile State, while another project delivers a complete new water station in Shendi, designed and equipped to operate as a modern facility.
The KSrelief humanitarian projects in Sudan further include rehabilitation of nine existing water stations in Northern State by drilling new wells, installing centrifugal pumps, and restoring idle infrastructure, with the goal of improving reliability and expanding access to safe drinking water.
Health services receive significant support within the KSrelief humanitarian projects in Sudan, including a second phase to supply modern medical equipment to Omdurman Teaching Hospital, Al-Shuhada Bahri Hospital, Wad Madani Teaching Hospital, Al-Damazin Teaching Hospital, Kosti Teaching Hospital, Umm Rawaba Hospital, and Wad Rawah Hospital.
KSrelief humanitarian projects in Sudan also cover medical oxygen production, with five stations being set up at Omdurman Teaching Hospital, Al-Shuhada Bahri Hospital, Al-Hasahisa Teaching Hospital, Al-Dabbah Central Hospital, and Halfa Al-Qadima Teaching Hospital, each designed to produce 20 cubic metres of oxygen per hour.
KSrelief humanitarian projects Sudan: generators, protection, and institutional support
Power supply for essential facilities forms another pillar of the KSrelief humanitarian projects in Sudan, including two 1,000 kVA generators and control units for Al-Manara Nile Water Purification Station in Omdurman, increasing output from 25,000 cubic metres to 140,000 cubic metres daily.
Within the wider KSrelief humanitarian projects in Sudan, 300 kVA generators are being provided to the Saudi Hospital for Women and Maternity and Al-Balak Specialized Children’s Hospital in Omdurman, while five 500 kVA generators are allocated to Al-Shaab Teaching Hospital, Ahmed Qasim Hospital, and Al-Tijani Al-Mahi Hospital.
Protection is also addressed in the KSrelief humanitarian projects in Sudan through sponsorship of 1,070 orphans, providing structured care and support, while Saudi officials underline that earlier assistance included a maritime fleet and hospital power generators delivered through KSrelief programmes.
