KSrelief Commences Vaccination Campaign Against Measles For Children In Yemen
In a significant health initiative, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has launched a measles vaccination campaign targeting children in Yemen's Hajjah Governorate. This effort is part of a broader endeavor to combat the spread of viral diseases within the region. Governor Abdulkarim Al-Sunaini has called upon the local population to support both fixed and mobile health teams in their mission to immunize children against measles and rubella.
Al-Sunaini expressed his deep appreciation for Saudi Arabia's support, represented by KSrelief, highlighting the Kingdom's prompt and sustained assistance to the Yemeni people. The campaign, funded by Saudi Arabia, not only focuses on vaccination but also includes awareness and health education initiatives regarding measles. Moreover, it aims to monitor pregnant women to improve health service planning and promote early immunization for children.

To reach its objectives, the campaign will operate through eight fixed centers and seven mobile teams, covering districts such as Midi, Hiran, Abs, Haradh in Hajjah, and extending to Razih district in Saada Governorate. An impressive total of 15,384 children are expected to benefit from this vital health campaign.
The initiative underscores the critical role of international cooperation and support in addressing public health challenges. By focusing on vaccination and education, KSrelief aims to significantly reduce the incidence of measles and rubella among Yemen's most vulnerable populations. This campaign is a testament to the ongoing efforts to ensure the well-being of children in conflict-affected areas through targeted humanitarian interventions.
