KSrelief Collaborates In Brussels To Overcome Gaza Crisis Challenges
The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) recently made its presence felt at a crucial coordination meeting focused on the Gaza crisis, under the title "Obstacles to Access and Possible Solutions." This event, part of the High-Level European Humanitarian Forum's third session, saw significant participation from global entities. The forum, a collaborative effort by the European Commission and the Kingdom of Belgium, took place in Brussels, Belgium, from March 18 to 19, 2024. It aimed at fostering dialogue and finding solutions amidst the escalating crisis.
Dr. Hana Omar, Director of the Department of Partnerships and International Relations at KSrelief, led the delegation. During her address, she extended her gratitude for the organization of such a pivotal meeting during times of increasing hostilities and clear violations of international humanitarian law. Dr. Omar also paid tribute to the humanitarian workers in Gaza, acknowledging their efforts and mourning the loss of lives in recent events.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud and HRH Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, has been proactive in its support for Gaza. Through the "Sahim" relief platform, a campaign initiated last November has successfully gathered donations surpassing $180 million. These funds are directed towards aiding those affected by the ongoing crisis in Gaza.
The forum's discussions revolved around the growing global humanitarian needs amidst crises worldwide. A significant emphasis was placed on enhancing cooperation and partnerships among affected nations, donors, international stakeholders, including the European Union and its member states. The objective is to carve out sustainable and effective solutions to humanitarian challenges, with a special focus on improving the situation in Gaza.
This gathering underscored the importance of international solidarity and collaboration in addressing humanitarian crises. The contributions and efforts of KSrelief were highlighted as vital to these endeavors, showcasing Saudi Arabia's commitment to alleviating human suffering across the globe.
