KSrelief Marks World Health Day: Aiding Over 415 Million In 55 Countries

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) stands as a beacon of hope and support in the global humanitarian landscape, having extended its assistance to over 415 million individuals across 55 nations. This monumental effort underscores the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's enduring tradition of aiding those in dire need, a principle deeply ingrained in KSrelief's operations. The center's commitment to alleviating human suffering, preserving life and dignity, and ensuring access to essential healthcare services has positioned Saudi Arabia as a leading nation in humanitarian aid.

KSrelief's mission is propelled by its dedication to addressing critical needs in health, food security, water, and sanitation. The center has successfully executed more than 501 relief projects worldwide, with a cumulative value surpassing US$1 billion. These initiatives have had a profound impact, directly benefiting over 415 million people globally. In Yemen, KSrelief has been particularly active, offering crucial services such as physical rehabilitation and prosthetic limbs for the injured in Ma'rib governorate and specialized healthcare for kidney failure patients in Al-Mahra Governorate.

KSrelief Aids 415M on Health Day

The center's support is not limited to Yemen. In Palestine's Gaza Strip, KSrelief has played a vital role in mitigating medical supply shortages, ensuring the continuity of primary healthcare services and hospital operations. Similarly, intensive care units in Palestine and Sudan have been equipped with essential medical equipment and maintenance services. Furthermore, KSrelief has provided financial assistance for Syrian refugee cancer patients in Jordan, covering their treatment costs and enhancing healthcare services for Syrian refugees and host communities in Lebanon's Baalbek governorate.

Recognizing the critical importance of clean water and sanitation, KSrelief has implemented projects to provide safe drinking water through well drilling and promoted wastewater treatment to prevent disease spread. Additionally, the center has launched targeted nutrition projects to combat malnutrition among children, pregnant women, and lactating mothers, aiming to lower the under-five mortality rate in several countries.
