KSrelief Champions Global Youth Empowerment On World Youth Skills Day
Saudi Arabia, through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), has significantly supported those in need globally. KSrelief has initiated 2,973 projects worth over US$6 billion across 100 countries, partnering with 187 international, regional, and local entities.
On World Youth Skills Day, observed on July 15 annually, KSrelief highlights its comprehensive programs for youth. These initiatives include economic empowerment, vocational training, psychological and social support, as well as cultural and recreational activities.

KSrelief's project in Somalia rehabilitated the Burao Technical Institute. This initiative improved infrastructure and capacity to provide essential training skills to 4,990 young people. The center also worked with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) to empower 42,960 Yemeni women in Shabwah, Lahj, Al-Mahra, Marib, and Hadhramaut governorates.
In Yemen, KSrelief implemented an economic recovery project that equipped 675 young men and women with technical and vocational skills. This project aimed to create job opportunities and improve livelihoods for female breadwinners of displaced families by enrolling them in vocational courses.
KSrelief launched a volunteer economic empowerment training program for earthquake-affected Syrians and Turks in Reyhanlı, Hatay Province. This program included specialized courses in economic support for low-income youth, benefiting 101 individuals.
In Syria's northern regions, KSrelief established community care centers offering psychological, social, and vocational rehabilitation services. These centers provided courses in computers, English language, sewing, hairstyling, painting, car mechanics among others. They also organized open dialogue sessions and various recreational activities for adolescents and youth.
Tajikistan Initiatives
The center developed a program to enhance the skills of youth in Tajikistan by rehabilitating youth training centers. This initiative benefited 3,600 individuals by improving their professional capacities.
The efforts of Saudi Arabia through KSrelief underscore the importance of youth in their humanitarian plans. The unwavering support for young people in affected countries worldwide is evident through these initiatives.
