KSrelief Supports El Salvador With 100 Tons Of Dates Donation To WFP

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) team delivered 100 tons of dates to the United Nations World Food Program (WFP) in El Salvador on Tuesday. The event took place at the Foreign Affairs Ministry in San Salvador.

Present at the delivery were Abdullah Al-Saqr, representative of the Saudi embassy in Mexico and non-resident in El Salvador, Salvadoran Minister of Education Jose Mauricio Pineda, and Willian Alexander Deleon Flores, Director of International Relations at the Salvadoran Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Also attending were Riaz Lodhi, WFP representative and country director in El Salvador, and a KSrelief team.

Al-Saqr and Lodhi signed a memorandum confirming the shipment's delivery. Al-Saqr expressed gratitude to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for their generosity. He highlighted that this gesture reflects Saudi Arabia's humanitarian commitment to easing the suffering of friendly nations.

The Salvadoran education minister thanked Saudi Arabia, represented by KSrelief, for the donation. He noted that it would benefit over 250,000 students through the school feeding program across 1,038 schools. This initiative is part of broader programs by Saudi Arabia to support needy families worldwide.

Al-Saqr praised KSrelief for its diligent follow-up and direct supervision in executing such humanitarian projects. He emphasized that these efforts help those in need regardless of their location.

This gift is among several initiatives by the government of King Salman to assist brotherly and friendly countries globally. It aims to distribute aid to the most vulnerable families in various regions.

The event underscored Saudi Arabia's ongoing commitment to international humanitarian efforts through KSrelief's active role in providing aid where it is most needed.
