KSrelief Enhances Education In Yemen's Hadhramaut With New Supplies For Schools And Disability Centres
The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has taken a significant step in supporting education in Yemen. On Monday, they distributed school furniture, educational materials, computers, and office equipment to 10 literacy schools and nine disability centers in Hadhramaut Governorate. This marks the second phase of a project aimed at enhancing local capacity for educating illiterate students and individuals with disabilities.
Saleh Abboud Al-Omqi, Secretary-General of the Hadhramaut Local Council, praised Saudi Arabia's substantial support through KSrelief. He highlighted the advanced resources provided to literacy and disability centers, emphasizing their role in improving education quality and securing a brighter future for upcoming generations. The initiative is crucial for addressing educational challenges in the region.

Dr. Najwa Fadl, Executive Director of the Disabled Care and Rehabilitation Fund, expressed gratitude for KSrelief's efforts. She acknowledged the center's dedication to enhancing the lives of Yemen's most vulnerable groups. The project aims to deliver sustainable educational opportunities across several governorates, including Aden, Dhale, Lahj, Shabwa, and Al-Mahra.
This initiative will benefit 9,747 individuals in total. Among them are 6,527 people with special needs and 2,389 illiterate students. Additionally, 831 educational staff members at targeted schools and centers will receive support. The project is part of Saudi Arabia's ongoing commitment through KSrelief to tackle key challenges faced by Yemeni educational institutions.
The focus is on supporting juvenile literacy efforts and caring for children with disabilities. By providing essential resources and infrastructure improvements, KSrelief aims to create a more inclusive educational environment that caters to diverse learning needs.
