Saudi Humanitarian Effort: 100 Tons Of Dates Distributed In Brazil And South America
The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has initiated a significant project aimed at distributing 100 tons of dates across the Federal Republic of Brazil and its neighboring South American countries. This initiative is in partnership with the Federation of Muslim Associations of Brazil (FAMBRAS). The launch event saw the presence of the Saudi Ambassador to Brazil, Faisal Ghulam, alongside other dignitaries. The ambassador underscored this gesture as a testament to the continuous support extended by the government under the leadership of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud towards global humanitarian assistance.
The ambassador lauded KSrelief's pivotal role in fostering a strong relationship between Saudi Arabia and Brazil through such humanitarian efforts. This project aims to reach the most vulnerable communities in 20 Brazilian states and extend its reach to 12 additional countries in South and Central America. The list includes Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Paraguay, Uruguay, Chile, Peru, Guyana, El Salvador, and Guatemala. This initiative is part of a broader effort by the Kingdom through KSrelief to offer food support to communities in need around the world.

The distribution of 100 tons of dates is not just about providing food; it symbolizes the solidarity and friendship between Saudi Arabia and the recipient nations. It reflects a commitment to supporting global communities through various forms of humanitarian aid. The choice of dates, a staple in Middle Eastern cuisine and culture, also serves as a cultural bridge, fostering a sense of unity and shared humanity.
This initiative is reported by SPA at 21:47 local time (18:47 GMT), marking another milestone in Saudi Arabia's extensive portfolio of international humanitarian projects. Through KSrelief, the Kingdom continues to extend its hand in friendship and support across continents, reinforcing its role as a key player in global humanitarian efforts.
