KSrelief And UN Coordinate On Humanitarian Support For Sudan
On the sidelines of the International Humanitarian Conference for Sudan and neighbouring countries, a significant meeting took place between Supervisor General of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) Abdullah Al Rabeeah and United Nations Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator in Sudan Clementine Nkweta-Salami. This conference, co-organized by the European Commission and France, served as a platform for these officials to discuss the pressing humanitarian situation in Sudan.
During their discussions, Dr. Al Rabeeah outlined the extensive efforts Saudi Arabia has made to support Sudan through KSrelief. He detailed the dispatch of 13 relief planes and four relief ships to the region, alongside the implementation of 43 humanitarian projects. These projects, valued at over $60 million, were carried out in Sudan and its neighbouring countries in collaboration with various international and local organizations. Additionally, Dr. Al Rabeeah mentioned the deployment of 20 volunteer medical teams to Sudan, further showcasing Saudi Arabia's commitment to humanitarian aid.

Nkweta-Salami praised Saudi Arabia's significant contributions towards alleviating the plight of the Sudanese people. She expressed a keen interest in fostering greater cooperation to enhance humanitarian work within Sudan.
