KSrelief Wraps Up 25th Volunteer Training At Zaatari Camp, Aids Hundreds

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has successfully wrapped up its 25th volunteer training program at Zaatari Refugee Camp in Jordan, marking another milestone in its ongoing efforts to provide aid and skills training to Syrian refugees. The program, which ran from April 27, saw the participation of 23 volunteers who dedicated their time and expertise to assist over 900 refugees residing in the camp.

This initiative was carried out in partnership with the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) and the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF), showcasing a collaborative effort to make a tangible difference in the lives of those displaced by conflict. The training program encompassed a wide array of courses designed to equip the refugees with practical skills that can aid them in their daily lives and potentially open up new opportunities for income.

Participants had the opportunity to engage in courses covering tablet and mobile phone maintenance, sewing and embroidery, as well as more traditional crafts like ceramics, pottery, and carpentry. In addition to vocational training, the program also offered English language courses and interactive science classes focusing on chemistry and physics, aimed at broadening educational horizons for both adults and children in the camp.

Moreover, the initiative was not limited to skill development alone. KSrelief ensured that medical services were provided at the camp's clinics, covering essential areas such as ophthalmology, dermatology, diabetic foot care, along with physical and occupational therapy. Workshops specifically designed for wheelchair maintenance, repair, and handling of medical equipment were also part of this comprehensive program.

Through these diverse activities, KSrelief's volunteer program underscored the critical role of humanitarian work in fostering resilience among refugee populations. By combining education, vocational training, and healthcare services, the initiative not only addressed immediate needs but also invested in building a foundation for future self-reliance among Syrian refugees at Zaatari Camp.

This latest endeavor by KSrelief at Zaatari Refugee Camp is a testament to the organization's commitment to humanitarian aid and volunteerism. It highlights how targeted assistance and skill development programs can significantly impact the lives of refugees, offering them hope and practical pathways towards rebuilding their lives amidst challenging circumstances.
