KSrelief Launches 2026 Aid Plan To Support 12 Million People Worldwide
The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has unveiled its plans for 2026, confirming extensive humanitarian, relief, and volunteer programmes across several continents. During a ceremony in Riyadh, the centre also recognised key government and organisational donors and partners that support its international activities and long-term aid efforts.
Officials, ambassadors from Arab and foreign states, and representatives of global relief organisations attended the event, reflecting wide diplomatic and institutional engagement. Speakers stressed that these new plans aim to reach vulnerable communities worldwide, while also improving coordination with Saudi and international partners engaged in humanitarian work.

KSrelief Supervisor-General Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah explained that the centre’s activities demonstrate Saudi Arabia’s commitment to supporting people in need everywhere. Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah noted that KSrelief has grown over the last decade into a major international humanitarian body and highlighted the scale and reach of the centre’s current operations.
Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah stated that Saudi Arabia ranked second worldwide, and first among Arab countries, in humanitarian aid for 2025, based on the UN Financial Tracking Service. Saudi Arabia was also identified as the leading donor to Yemen, providing 49.3% of total assistance directed to that country through various programmes.
The 2026 operational plan launched at the ceremony includes 113 humanitarian and relief projects scheduled in 44 countries. These projects are expected to benefit more than 12 million people. The total budget is SAR400 million, implemented in cooperation with 11 Saudi non-profit organisations working with KSrelief.

Alongside the projects plan, KSrelief announced its 2026 volunteer programmes, which will deliver 309 initiatives in 42 countries at a cost of SAR200 million. These programmes are designed to support medical, educational, and community services, relying on Saudi volunteers and partner organisations with relevant expertise.
KSrelief humanitarian aid, dates initiative and cooperation agreements
The ceremony also introduced the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ 2026 gift of dates. This initiative targets more than 13 million beneficiaries in 73 countries, providing 17,868 tons of dates. The value of this project is SAR123 million, reinforcing food support to communities facing hardship.
At the end of the event, KSrelief signed memoranda of understanding with local associations to strengthen cooperation in humanitarian, relief, and development work. These agreements aim to support sustainability, improve coordination, and raise the efficiency of aid delivery, so assistance reaches vulnerable groups worldwide in a more effective and organised manner.
