First Cohort Of Students Graduate From KSGAAL's Abjad Center For Arabic Language
The King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language (KSGAAL) celebrated the graduation of its first cohort from the Abjad Center for Teaching Arabic Language. This group included 132 students hailing from 34 different countries.
Dr. Abdullah Al-Washmi, Secretary General of KSGAAL, emphasised the significance of the Human Capacity Development Program. This initiative is a crucial part of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030. He noted that the Abjad Center employs innovative teaching methods in a culturally immersive environment to teach Arabic to non-native speakers.

The students completed four educational levels aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR): A1, A2, B1, and B2. Each level spanned two months and involved 160 instructional hours, averaging 20 hours per week.
Al-Washmi highlighted that Abjad Center attracted over 16,000 applicants for its inaugural course. Out of these, only 132 were selected. He stated that this rigorous selection process ensures high-quality education and a rich cultural experience.
The academy aimed to equip graduates with four key competencies: proficiency in Arabic language skills as per program objectives, effective use of written and spoken Arabic in various linguistic tasks, social and linguistic engagement in diverse Arabic contexts, and understanding key aspects of both Arabic and Saudi cultures.
Global Promotion of Arabic Language
The Abjad Center supports Saudi Arabia's efforts to promote the Arabic language globally. It offers distinguished education that combines language learning with cultural immersion in an engaging educational setting. This approach helps students integrate into Saudi society effectively.
Dr. Al-Washmi said, "Abjad Center provides a unique linguistic experience." He added that this distinctive approach has made it highly attractive to many applicants worldwide.
The comprehensive program at Abjad Center not only focuses on language skills but also aims to provide a thorough understanding of Saudi culture. This holistic approach ensures that students are well-prepared to engage socially and linguistically within diverse Arabic contexts.
This graduation marks a significant milestone for KSGAAL as it continues to advance its mission under Vision 2030. The success of this first cohort sets a precedent for future batches and underscores the academy's commitment to excellence in Arabic language education.
