Kosovar Prime Minister Albin Kurti Opens Sixth Jusoor Exhibition In Pristina To Promote Cultural Dialogue

The sixth edition of the Jusoor Exhibition was inaugurated by Republic of Kosova Prime Minister Albin Kurti in Pristina's Skanderbeg Square. Organised by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, alongside the Saudi embassy's religious attaché in Bosnia and Herzegovina, this ten-day event aims to attract 500,000 visitors. It coincides with the final qualifiers for the third international Holy Quran memorisation competition in the Balkans.

The exhibition serves as a platform to promote authentic Islamic concepts, highlighting values such as moderation, mercy, and justice. It features a range of cultural and outreach activities that showcase Saudi Arabia's rich Islamic and historical heritage. The event aims to foster intercultural dialogue and build bridges between different communities.

Kurti Opens Sixth Jusoor Exhibition in Pristina

During his speech at the opening ceremony, Prime Minister Kurti praised Saudi Arabia's historical and humanitarian role towards Kosova. He emphasised the Kingdom's unwavering support during critical moments in Kosova's recent history. "The Kingdom is close to the people of Kosova, and the support it provided, especially during difficult times, is evidence of the strong and sincere friendship between us, and we are grateful to it," he said.

Kurti highlighted that relations between Kosova and Saudi Arabia have evolved into a robust partnership across various sectors. He noted cooperation in tourism, education, economy, and culture. Recent exchanges between citizens for diverse purposes were also mentioned as significant developments.

The exhibition's name reflects Arab heritage and Saudi spirit, enhancing Kosovar understanding of Saudi culture. Kurti stressed that this cultural bridge connects societies, serving as a centre for reflection and interaction. He affirmed that Saudi Arabia today stands as a model promoting peace and unity while honouring its past.

Grand Mufti Naim Ternava expressed gratitude to the Saudi leadership for its ongoing support. He emphasised that this event results from collaboration between the Kosovar Islamic Sheikhdom and the Ministry of Islamic Affairs. This partnership demonstrates both parties' commitment to spreading Islamic values and fostering cultural exchange.

Ternava added that these efforts aim to build communication bridges among peoples. The exhibition not only showcases cultural richness but also serves as a testament to shared values between Kosova and Saudi Arabia.

This event highlights how cultural initiatives can strengthen international relations by promoting mutual understanding. By showcasing Islamic heritage and fostering dialogue, such exhibitions contribute significantly to global peace efforts.
