Korean And Indian Companies Highlight Dubai's Role In Global Growth During Expand North Star 2024
Dubai is recognised globally as a prime location for entrepreneurs to transform innovative ideas into successful ventures. Representatives from Indian and Korean companies at Expand North Star 2024 highlighted Dubai's role in launching digital startups worldwide. They praised the event as an excellent platform for connecting with investors, clients, and partners, while also sharing expertise and learning about successful models for developing advanced digital technologies.
The event offers valuable insights into establishing and growing startups, potentially turning them into billion-dollar 'unicorn' companies. The Korean pavilion this year showcases over 100 startups specialising in areas like artificial intelligence and deep technology. These companies present solutions ranging from AI voice cloning to digital dentistry and educational technology.

Indian tech startups are also making their mark with innovative solutions in robotics, employee engagement platforms, training technologies, software, and IT solutions. Known for its dynamism, the Indian startup ecosystem attracts significant investment flows and focuses on growth and profitability. It adopts future-facing technologies including AI to stay ahead.
Seungho Lee, Head of Marketing at Braindeck, an AI voice cloning service, commended the UAE's cultural and investment openness. He noted that Dubai’s business incubators and specialised free zones attract Korean companies. "This welcoming environment, coupled with the success of Korean giants like Samsung and LG in Dubai, further enhances the city’s position as a highly attractive destination for Korean startups," Lee stated.
Adviteey Mehaindroo, CEO of Zinkus, a robotics company attending Expand North Star for the third time, highlighted Dubai's booming tourism industry as a key driver for robotics and AI adoption. "Dubai's receptive market has allowed us to secure orders," Mehaindroo added, pointing out the city's potential for further business expansion.
Chiranjeevi Aneel Kumar Bonu, Founder and CEO of TalentSpotify, an AI-powered employee engagement platform, praised Dubai's diverse population and ease of doing business. He emphasised that these factors make Dubai an ideal launchpad for innovation-driven companies.
