Knowledge Summit 2024 Highlights Achievements Of MBRKA Award Winners In Science And Technology

The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Award (MBRKA) 2024 celebrated its winners for their significant intellectual, creative, and humanitarian contributions. These individuals were honoured during a panel session at the Knowledge Summit 2024, held on 18th and 19th November at the Dubai World Trade Center.

Dr. Ahmed Eid Khamis Thani Almheiri, an Emirati physicist specialising in theoretical physics, shared his journey of scientific achievements. He remarked, "This honour is of great importance, as it motivates me to continue on the path of scientific research and exploration and contribute to the progress of science and raise the name of my country high."

Another awardee, Dr. Andrew Ng Yan Tak, a computer scientist known for his work in AI, expressed his joy at receiving the award. He stated, "This award is a great motivation for me to continue my relentless efforts in the field of technology and artificial intelligence. It is truly a special moment in my life and a milestone in my academic and professional career."

Professors David M Clark and Anke Ehlers also received recognition for their research in psychology. They highlighted how this accolade encourages them to persist in their studies on diseases and medical treatments.

The session was led by Sally Mousa, an international presenter. The winners expressed gratitude to the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF) and organisers of MBRKA. They noted that this recognition would inspire young innovators to pursue learning and innovation.

Since its inception in 2014 by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, MBRKA has honoured those with significant knowledge contributions. The award aims to encourage innovation within the knowledge sector to foster development and build a better future.

The recipients join a prestigious list of past winners who have made notable advancements in various fields. Their achievements serve as an inspiration for others working towards similar goals.
