Saudi Arabia's Participation In UN General Assembly Highlights Commitment To Peace And Justice
Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, highlighted the Kingdom's participation in the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) High-Level Week in New York. He stated that Saudi Arabia is committed to promoting peace and justice. The Kingdom has consistently advocated for dialogue and peaceful resolutions throughout its history, from its founding to the present leadership under King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
Prince Faisal emphasised Saudi Arabia's dedication to establishing just peace both in the Middle East and globally. He noted that the Kingdom was a founding member of the United Nations in 1945 and played a significant role in its first conference. Saudi Arabia is recognised for its effective conflict resolution and peacemaking efforts, thanks to its balanced international relations.

The Foreign Minister reiterated Saudi Arabia's commitment to translating the United Nations Charter into reality. This includes respecting international law, maintaining global peace and security, and supporting multilateral cooperation across various fields. The Kingdom aims to be a trusted mediator within the international community due to its wise policies.
Prince Faisal also addressed Saudi Arabia's ongoing efforts to alleviate Palestinian suffering and halt violence. He affirmed that resolving the Palestinian issue remains a top priority for the Kingdom in all international forums. The goal is to achieve a fair solution starting with an independent Palestinian state, leading to lasting regional peace.
Reflecting on the 80th anniversary of the United Nations' founding, Prince Faisal highlighted Saudi Arabia's historical role as a UN founding member. The Kingdom has consistently worked towards conflict resolution through mediation, supported by its balanced relationships with various parties worldwide.
The minister underscored that Saudi Arabia spares no effort in promoting respect for international law and fostering global cooperation. This commitment aligns with the principles outlined in the UN Charter, which guides Saudi Arabia's foreign policy initiatives.
