Kingdom Of Saudi Arabia's Participation In G20 Summit Showcases Global Leadership In Health Initiatives

Minister of Health Fahad Al-Jalajel highlighted Saudi Arabia's significant role in the G20 Summit, emphasising its leadership in global health. The pharmaceutical industry in Saudi Arabia is experiencing rapid growth, expanding at nearly 10% annually. By 2030, it is expected to exceed SAR 72 billion in value. This growth reflects the sector's dynamic development among G20 nations, showcasing Saudi Arabia's commitment to advancing healthcare infrastructure and services.

During its presidency of the 2023 G20 Summit, Saudi Arabia introduced several initiatives aimed at strengthening global health systems. These efforts focus on enhancing resilience against crises and addressing challenges like antimicrobial resistance and digital health solutions. The Kingdom also prioritises patient safety and integrating health considerations across various policy areas.

The G20 Summit in Brazil serves as a crucial platform for promoting collaborative efforts to tackle global health challenges.
