King Saud University Medical City Honoured With Two Asian Healthcare Awards

Riyadh, SPA – In a significant recognition of its excellence in healthcare services, King Saud University Medical City has been honored with two prestigious awards at the Healthcare Asia Awards 2024. The awards, "Hospital of the Year" and "Facilities Improvement Initiative of the Year," were presented at a ceremony in Singapore. The event, organized by Healthcare Asia Magazine, annually celebrates hospitals across Asia that demonstrate exceptional performance. Furthermore, Dr. Al-Hersi highlighted that the Medical City has earned numerous accolades and accreditations both locally and internationally. These include certifications from the Saudi Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI), Canadian International Accreditation, and the American Heart Association. Such recognitions underscore the institution's commitment to maintaining high standards of healthcare service and management.

King Saud University’s Medical City has also distinguished itself in the healthcare sector through its focus on research and innovation. It achieved the top rank in the Kingdom in the SCIMAGO ranking system, which evaluates research output in various fields including oncology and otolaryngology. Additionally, the institution has embraced environment-friendly solutions by installing solar panels at King Abdulaziz University Hospital to generate electricity, showcasing its commitment to sustainability alongside healthcare excellence.
