KSIADC Partners With Biofuel Company To Enhance Sustainable Energy Use At King Salman International Airport

King Salman International Airport Development Company (KSIADC), owned by the Public Investment Fund, has entered into a memorandum of understanding with Biofuel Company. This collaboration aims to use B100 biodiesel as an alternative to fossil diesel during the airport's construction phase. The initiative aligns with Saudi Arabia's net-zero targets by reducing carbon emissions and environmental impact.

Biofuel Company, based in Jubail, is a prominent Saudi processor of animal fat and vegetable oil into high-performance biodiesel. It serves both public and private sector clients across the Kingdom. The company will support KSIADC by providing alternative energy solutions through B100 biodiesel for construction activities at the airport.

KSIADC Acting CEO Marco Mejia expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating: "This partnership marks a concrete step towards building an airport that adheres to the highest sustainability standards, reflecting our commitment to integrating alternative energy solutions in line with global efforts to reduce emissions.
