King Salman Global Academy To Celebrate World Arabic Language Day At UN Headquarters With Focus On AI And Cultural Heritage
The King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language (KSGAAL) is set to commemorate World Arabic Language Day from December 9 to 11. The event, themed 'Arabic Language and Artificial Intelligence: Fostering Innovation While Preserving Cultural Heritage,' will be held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. This celebration is under the patronage of Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, Minister of Culture and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of KSGAAL.
This marks the fourth consecutive year that KSGAAL has celebrated this occasion, demonstrating its dedication to promoting the Arabic language within international organizations. The event underscores Saudi Arabia's commitment to supporting Arabic while emphasizing its cultural and scientific heritage. High-ranking international and diplomatic figures are expected to attend.

A key feature of the celebration will be a panel discussion titled 'Arabic Translation at the United Nations.' This session will include insights from international experts and specialists in the field. Additionally, a virtual training course named 'Arabic Translation Skills for Diplomatic Purposes' will be available for United Nations staff.
The event aims to enhance translation skills among diplomats, ensuring effective communication in Arabic within global forums. These initiatives reflect KSGAAL's efforts to strengthen the use of Arabic in diplomatic contexts, fostering better understanding and collaboration internationally.
An exhibition dedicated to the Arabic language will also be part of the celebration. It will display artistic works and digital presentations that highlight the beauty, history, and influence of Arabic on other cultures. This exhibition aims to showcase Saudi culture's authenticity through its artistic expressions.
Visitors will have an opportunity to learn about KSGAAL's activities and publications during this exhibition. The displays are designed to educate attendees about the academy's role in preserving and promoting Arabic language heritage globally.
The celebration not only highlights the significance of Arabic but also explores how artificial intelligence can foster innovation while maintaining cultural traditions. Through these events, KSGAAL continues its mission to elevate the status of Arabic worldwide.
