The King Salman Global Academy for the Arabic Language (KSGAAL) and the Saudi Esports Federation (SEF) have introduced an Arabic esports glossary. This initiative is designed to engage gaming enthusiasts and enhance participation in Saudi Arabia's esports events. The project aligns with the Human Capability Development Program (HCDP) under Saudi Vision 2030, reflecting the academy's strategic objectives.

Dr. Abdullah bin Saleh Al-Washmi, Secretary General of KSGAAL, highlighted that the academy serves as the main reference for the Arabic language in Saudi Arabia. He emphasized that this glossary aims to bridge communication gaps by documenting the linguistic landscape of esports and standardizing terms. It also seeks to replace foreign terms with Arabic equivalents, promoting their use within the esports community.

The glossary is a comprehensive resource featuring over 505 terms in both Arabic and English. Each term includes detailed definitions and grammatical notes in Arabic. These entries are organized into various esports genres such as football, combat sports, adventures, racing, and wrestling. This systematic categorization aids users in navigating the diverse world of esports terminology.

KSGAAL and SEF have previously collaborated on glossaries for government sectors like energy, digital government, data, and AI.
