Jordan's King Abdullah II Engages With UAE Council Speaker On Bilateral Relations And Gaza Peace

His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan engaged in a significant meeting with Federal National Council Speaker Saqr Ghobash on Monday, as reported by the Jordan News Agency (PETRA). This encounter underscored the enduring and deep-rooted connections between Jordan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), with a mutual commitment to enhancing these ties, particularly at the parliamentary level.

The discussions between King Abdullah II and Speaker Ghobash were comprehensive, covering a range of critical issues. A focal point of their dialogue was the situation in Gaza, where His Majesty reiterated the urgent need for an immediate ceasefire and the protection of civilians. Emphasizing the importance of ensuring a sustainable flow of humanitarian aid to Gaza, King Abdullah II lauded the UAE for its diplomatic endeavors aimed at securing a ceasefire and its continuous humanitarian support to the people of Gaza.

The meeting, which also saw the presence of House of Representatives Speaker Ahmad Safadi and Director of the Office of His Majesty Jafar Hassan, served as a platform for Ghobash to convey the greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court. King Abdullah II reciprocated these greetings, further solidifying the warm relations between the two nations.

Speaker Ghobash took this opportunity to highlight the fraternal relations shared between Jordan and the UAE.
