In the 2025 Skytrax rankings, King Khalid International Airport excelled in several categories. It was recognised as having the Best Airport Staff in the Middle East and secured third place globally for Best New Terminal with its International Terminal 1. Additionally, it ranked fourth in both the Best Airport in the Middle East and Best Airport Worldwide categories for airports handling 30–40 million passengers annually.

Skytrax, a UK-based organisation, evaluates airport and airline service quality worldwide. It conducts surveys with millions of travellers to determine top global airports and airlines each year. King Khalid International Airport's achievements in these rankings highlight its commitment to excellence and innovation within the aviation sector.
