The airport saw a significant increase in passenger numbers, surpassing 37 million throughout the year. This growth highlights its importance as a major hub in the region.
The airport's operational excellence was evident with an impressive on-time departure rate of 86%, setting a benchmark in the industry. This achievement was supported by strategic improvements, including welcoming 15 new airline partners and opening five new duty-free areas. Throughout 2024, King Khalid International Airport experienced unprecedented passenger volumes. A record-breaking day saw over 131,000 passengers passing through its terminals. On another notable day, the airport managed an operational feat with 903 flights either departing or arriving successfully.
The airport facilitated 269,000 flights in total during the year, connecting Riyadh to 113 domestic and international destinations. This extensive network underscores its role as a crucial gateway to Saudi Arabia and beyond.
