It was applied to a patient in his sixties with a liver tumor due to advanced cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma.

The tumor's proximity to the main bile duct made traditional treatments risky. A team of experts in interventional radiology, hepatology, and anesthesia decided to use this new approach. They precisely targeted the tumor while safeguarding nearby vital organs, which stabilized the patient's condition.

This minimally invasive procedure avoids surgical cuts and leaves no scars. It also shortens hospital stays and speeds up recovery. The success represents a major advancement in treating complex liver cancer cases, highlighting KFSH&RC's commitment to adopting advanced medical technologies for patient care.
