King Abdullah II Engages With Arab-Islamic Delegation On Ceasefire Efforts In Gaza
His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein of Jordan met with the Arab-Islamic Ministerial Committee on Wednesday. The committee is tasked with international efforts to halt the conflict in Gaza. The meeting was attended by Jordan's Crown Prince, Al Hussein Bin Abdullah II, and other key figures from the region.
The delegation was led by His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister. Also present were Ayman Safadi, Jordan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, and Dr. Mohammad Mustafa, Palestine's Prime Minister and Foreign Minister. Other notable attendees included Dr. Abdullatif Al-Zayani from Bahrain, Mr. Hakan Fidan from Türkiye, Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi from Qatar, Ambassador Nabil Habash from Egypt, Ahmed Aboul Gheit of the Arab League, and Hissein Brahim Taha of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

King Abdullah II emphasized the urgency of achieving an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. He highlighted the importance of increasing humanitarian aid to those affected in the region. The King expressed concern over the ongoing conflict's impact on regional security and stability.
The King also warned about the potential consequences of Israeli actions in Gaza and the West Bank. He stressed that these actions could destabilize the entire region if not addressed promptly.
His Majesty underscored the committee's critical role in conveying Arab and Islamic countries' positions to the global community. He urged for intensified international efforts to end hostilities in Gaza and called for a political solution based on a two-state framework to ensure lasting peace.
