King Abdulaziz Quran Competition Participants Praise Kingdom's Commitment To Islamic Heritage Preservation

Participants in the 45th King Abdulaziz International Competition for Memorizing, Reciting, and Interpreting the Holy Quran have expressed their admiration for Saudi Arabia's rapid development and its role as a global religious and cultural centre. Organised by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance, the event highlighted the Kingdom's commitment to preserving its rich Islamic heritage.

The participants praised Saudi Arabia's dedication to maintaining Madinah's religious sites and historical landmarks. These sites are seen as a testament to thousands of years of human and cultural history. Contestant Abdulrahman Abdullah Othman from Somalia shared his delight at witnessing Madinah's cultural richness, which reflects various aspects of Islamic history.

Contestant Mustafa Drame from Guinea-Bissau noted Saudi Arabia's status as a global religious destination. He mentioned the Kingdom's swift progress in developing projects that boost its ability to welcome visitors year-round. This growth supports tourism and highlights the country's commitment to enhancing visitor experiences.

Salahuddin from Portugal expressed his admiration for Madinah’s diverse cultural and educational offerings. During his visit, he received detailed explanations about historical sites linked to Prophet Muhammad’s life. He appreciated the facilities provided by authorities that make accessing these sites easy for visitors.

Participants also extended their gratitude to Saudi leadership for supporting the Holy Quran and its memorizers. They were thankful for opportunities to visit significant religious sites like the Prophet’s Mosque and Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifa. These visits enriched their spiritual experience, fostering memories of generosity and Islamic brotherhood.

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance was commended for organising these spiritual visits. The participants valued how these experiences deepened their understanding of Islamic history while creating lasting spiritual memories.
