Contestants Celebrate Honour Of Reaching Finals In King Abdulaziz Quran Competition Near Holy Kaaba
Participants in the 45th King Abdulaziz International Competition for Memorizing, Reciting, and Interpreting the Holy Quran expressed immense pride in reaching the finals. Held at the Grand Mosque near the Holy Kaaba, this event is a significant honour. The presence of international judges and an advanced electronic judging system marks a notable enhancement for the competition.
Contestant Mohammed Al-Hassan from Canada commended the electronic judging system, highlighting its reflection of the competition's global scope. He expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance for their professional organisation and dedication. This sentiment was echoed by other participants who appreciated the ministry's efforts.

Mohammed Jawa from Guinea-Bissau shared his joy, stating, "I am living the most beautiful moments of my life beside the Grand Mosque and with my fellow contestants from all over the world." He emphasised that reaching this stage is a badge of honour due to its association with King Abdulaziz and patronage by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
The competition has opened doors of hope for many Muslims globally. Contestants appreciate being part of an event that not only tests their skills but also connects them with others from diverse backgrounds. This gathering fosters a sense of unity among participants.
Abdulrahman Abdulmonim from Bosnia and Herzegovina praised the ministry for creating a spiritual atmosphere conducive to this Quranic event. He noted that all necessary services were provided to ensure participants could perform comfortably during the finals. The electronic judging system was seen as a significant improvement in this edition.
The Ministry of Islamic Affairs organises this competition under the generous patronage of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. It involves 179 contestants from 128 countries, creating an atmosphere filled with faith and spirituality within Makkah's Grand Mosque.
