King Abdulaziz Library At Beijing University Strengthens Arab-Chinese Cultural Ties Through Events
The King Abdulaziz Public Library branch at Beijing University organised cultural events in October to boost ties between Arab and Chinese cultures. The library welcomed Hu Muqing, president of the Shanghai Art Collection Museum, to discuss future collaborations. This visit aimed to strengthen cultural and artistic partnerships between the two institutions.
During Hu Muqing's visit, he explored the library's sections and cultural programs. Discussions with library officials focused on potential joint exhibitions and projects that blend Saudi and Chinese cultural heritage. Both parties considered hosting events to exchange art collections and artifacts, broadening artistic exchanges between the nations.

A delegation from Saudi Arabia’s Research, Development, and Innovation Authority (RDIA) also visited the library. Led by Dr. Maha Al-Mozaini, General Director of Planning and Development for Grants, the visit aimed to foster cultural and academic cooperation between Saudi Arabia and China. Discussions centred on collaboration opportunities in energy, industrial leadership, sustainable development, and healthcare.
The library branch hosted a seminar in partnership with the Languages Faculty as part of its regular scientific and cultural seminars. This event focused on teaching Arabic and Chinese languages in Egypt. It attracted academics, experts in language, culture, education from both countries, and many students interested in language learning and cultural communication.
A delegation from Tianjin Publishing House visited the library to enhance cultural and intellectual cooperation. The visit included a tour showcasing Arabic and Chinese books alongside photos, manuscripts, documents, and other cultural materials. These resources contribute to strengthening knowledge-based relations between Arab and Chinese cultures.
The series of events at the King Abdulaziz Public Library branch highlights ongoing efforts to deepen cultural ties between Saudi Arabia and China. By facilitating exchanges in art, language education, and intellectual resources, both nations aim to enrich their shared cultural heritage.
