King Abdulaziz International Airport In Jeddah: Transport Minister Inspects Operations And Passenger Services
Minister of Transport and Logistic Services Saleh Al-Jasser led an inspection visit to King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah on Monday, reviewing key passenger services and operational readiness, with a focus on travel movement during the holy month of Ramadan and support for passengers affected by current events in the region.
Saleh Al-Jasser, who also chairs the Board of Directors of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, was joined by GACA President Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Duailej. The delegation also included Matarat Holding CEO Raed Al-Idrissi, Jeddah Airports Company Board Chairman Eng. Raed Al-Mudaiheem, and Jeddah Airports Company CEO Eng. Mazen bin Mohammed Johar.

During the King Abdulaziz International Airport inspection, Saleh Al-Jasser followed updates on flights influenced by current events and checked overall travel movement across the airport. The minister examined measures taken at airports in the Kingdom to assist stranded passengers from GCC countries, ensuring that travellers receive full care and comfort within a coordinated and efficient operating framework.
The King Abdulaziz International Airport inspection began at the Welcome Hall, where Saleh Al-Jasser reviewed its facilities and services for travellers. The minister examined the electronic gates, listened to a briefing on their operating systems and technologies, and assessed efforts to improve efficiency and speed up travel procedures for both departing and arriving passengers.

As part of the King Abdulaziz International Airport inspection, Saleh Al-Jasser visited the duty-free area and passport control section, where officials presented an overview of main services offered to passengers. The tour then moved to the airport’s health control centre to review its preparedness and available health services, followed by the customs area, which uses modern systems to detect prohibited items and ease passenger movement.
During the King Abdulaziz International Airport inspection, Saleh Al-Jasser praised airport sector employees, highlighting strong coordination and joint efforts that support smooth passenger flows and arrivals. The minister noted that passenger numbers are increasing quickly during the holy month of Ramadan from many parts of the world, and the Saudi Press Agency reported the visit at 02:46 local time, 23:46 GMT.
