KHDA Hosts Inaugural E33 CoLabs Event To Shape The Future Of Education In Dubai

More than 200 educators, parents, students, and policymakers from Dubai's private education sector gathered for the first E33 CoLabs session. This event focused on workshops and discussions to speed up the implementation of Education 33 (E33), Dubai’s new education strategy. The session marked the beginning of E33 CoLabs, a series of collaborative meetings aimed at refining and executing projects under the E33 strategy.

Launched in October by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, E33 reimagines education by prioritising the learner’s journey. It shifts from a traditional institution-focused model to a learner-centric ecosystem tailored to individual needs and aspirations. The strategy aligns with Dubai Plan, Dubai Economic Agenda D33, and the Dubai Social Agenda.

KHDA Launches E33 CoLabs for Education Reform

Aisha Miran, Director General of KHDA, spoke at the event about collaboration's role in shaping education's future. She stated: "E33 is not just a plan on paper – it is a strategy in action. It is built on the foundation of collaboration, which has always been the hallmark of our education community."

Twenty-eight Game Changer initiatives are being introduced in phases to support E33 objectives. These initiatives aim to redefine educational experiences and outcomes while fostering innovation and excellence across all educational levels. Some launched initiatives include 'Al Freej Nurseries,' 'Dubai Flagship University,' 'All Rise,' and 'Excel Anywhere.'

During the first E33 CoLabs event, participants collaborated on solutions for 10 out of 28 Game Changer initiatives. These focus areas include improving education quality for Emirati students through tailored support and making Dubai an attractive destination for teachers.

The discussions enabled educators, students, parents, and thought leaders to create actionable solutions ensuring E33’s initiatives are practical and impactful. Aisha Miran added: "We are incredibly grateful for the enthusiasm and contributions from everyone who participated in our inaugural CoLabs event."

Empowering Future Leaders

The initiatives also prepare talented Emiratis for leadership roles in government and private sectors while elevating vocational training standards. They enhance learners' and educators' wellbeing and empower parents to actively guide their children's educational journeys.

From early learning through higher education, E33 ensures students gain skills needed to succeed at every life stage. This strategy aims to make them impactful contributors to Dubai’s future while continuing to lead globally in innovation and excellence.

The success of this event underscores the strength of Dubai's education community. The ongoing journey will continue collaborating with educators, students, and parents to refine and implement E33’s vision for a brighter future for every learner.
