Khawla Art And Culture Partners With ADMAF To Enhance UAE's Cultural Landscape Through MoU

In a significant move to enhance the UAE's cultural scene, Khawla Art and Culture and the Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation (ADMAF) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This agreement, formalised at Khawla Art and Culture's headquarters in Abu Dhabi, marks the start of a collaborative journey. The partnership aims to promote cultural initiatives through workshops, music programmes, and public events that engage communities.

H.H. Sheikha Khawla Bint Ahmed Bin Khalifa Al-Suwaidi, wife of H.H. Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Adviser, signed the MoU alongside Huda Al Khamis-Kanoo, Founder of ADMAF and Abu Dhabi Festival. This collaboration underscores their shared vision to empower artists and support cultural innovation within the UAE.

Khawla Art and Culture Signs MoU with ADMAF

Sheikha Khawla highlighted the importance of partnerships between cultural institutions in fostering artistic dialogue. She stated that this agreement will help create meaningful content that reflects the UAE’s rich heritage and evolving creative identity. She emphasised that culture and arts are integral to human identity, with disciplines like painting, music, and theatre enriching cultural life.

The arts serve as a unique language connecting minds and spirits. Theatre, in particular, offers a powerful platform for expression through dialogue and performance. "It is a pleasure to sign this Memorandum of Understanding with the Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation," she stated. "This marks a meaningful step forward in strengthening artistic dialogue."

Huda Al Khamis-Kanoo praised the pioneering role of Khawla Foundation for Art and Culture (KAC) in reviving Arabic calligraphy globally. She noted that since its establishment in 2019, KAC has become an influential force in arts, literature, calligraphy, and decoration. It preserves rich heritage while embracing authentic creativity that aligns with modern times.

"We share a united belief in preserving heritage and stimulating innovation," she continued. "This agreement goes beyond sharing efforts; it promises to unite minds by core values of community." The MoU reaffirms both institutions' dedication to nurturing talent and expanding cultural accessibility.

Voices & Visions Exhibition

The "Voices & Visions" exhibition celebrates Arab women artists' diverse creative expressions. This showcase features traditional and contemporary works exploring themes like identity and culture across the Arab world. It reflects an ongoing commitment to integrating art with cultural storytelling.

The exhibition includes four exceptional artists: Fatima Al-Nimr from Saudi Arabia uses oils, acrylics, textiles, creating layered visual worlds grounded in tradition; Hend Rashed from UAE brings emotional vibrancy through abstract painting; Mariam Abbas from UAE bridges classical ink techniques with modern design; Fatma Lootah from UAE combines performance art foundations with bold abstract painting.

This exhibition fosters cross-cultural understanding by offering a platform where artistic expression bridges heritage with contemporary identity. It highlights women's contributions to arts while promoting dialogue through creativity.

This partnership between Khawla Art and Culture and ADMAF aims to elevate the UAE’s position as a global hub for artistic excellence by creating sustainable platforms for talent development.
