Khalifa Fund Supports Six Innovative Ventures At IDEX 2025 To Boost Defence Technology

The Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development (KFED) is sponsoring six innovative ventures at the International Defence Exhibition and Conference (IDEX). This event takes place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre from 17th to 21st February 2025. These ventures are set to showcase their advancements in defence technology, supported by KFED's backing.

Among the ventures, 'AUAV for Drone Services' stands out by offering specialised training for secure drone operations. They plan to introduce an advanced drone model using artificial intelligence technology. 'UNILUX Heavy Equipment Spare Parts' brings decades of experience in producing and trading spare parts for heavy equipment and military vehicles. The company also manufactures parts for lightweight machinery used in metal cutting with laser and water.

Khalifa Fund Backs Six Ventures at IDEX 2025

'Droo for Defence Equipment' is another participant, focusing on developing various military defence equipment and bullets. 'Al Ajwa for Military Equipment' specialises in producing military uniforms, badges, tents, field accommodation supplies, lighting apparatus, head protection gear, goggles, and gloves. These companies have received support from KFED to expand their operations.

'UAE Defence Technology' deals with trading precision electronic devices and spare parts for arms, bullets, equipment, and heavy vehicles. Meanwhile, 'Black Wolf for Military Equipment Trade' focuses on trading military uniforms, supplies, equipment, and delivering simulated military drills. These ventures are part of KFED's initiative to promote economic diversification in the UAE.
