Khalifa Bin Tahnoon Opens 6th IMMAF Youth World Championships With Over 1,000 Athletes

The 6th IMMAF Youth World Championships have commenced in Al Ain Region, marking the first time this event is held there from 21st to 27th July 2025. Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoon bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Court, officially opened the championship. This significant event gathers over 1,000 athletes from 60 countries.

Sheikh Khalifa praised the young athletes for their outstanding performances and highlighted the competitive spirit present at the championship. He acknowledged the UAE Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts Federation's vital role in promoting combat sports both locally and internationally. The federation's efforts have been crucial in elevating these sports on a global scale.

Among them were Mohammed Bin Dalmouj Al Dhaheri, Board Member of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts Federation; Kerrith Brown, President of IMMAF; Wissam Abi Nader, Vice President of IMMAF; Moza Khalifa Al Falasi from ADEK; and Saed Hijazi Salameh from Premier Motors. Representatives from various international delegations also participated.

Abdulmunem Alsayed Mohammed Alhashmi, Chairman of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts Federation, remarked on the significance of hosting this edition in Al Ain. "Hosting this edition in Al Ain marks a historic milestone for the championship, particularly with the record-breaking participation of athletes and nations. This achievement not only highlights the event’s continued expansion but also reinforces the UAE’s position as a global hub for elite combat sports competitions."
