Khalifa Award Launches Its 18th Session To Promote Educational Excellence Globally
The Khalifa Award for Education has launched its 18th session for 2024-2025, covering ten fields at both local and Arab levels. These fields include Distinguished Educational Personality, General Education, Education and Community Services, People of Determination, Innovation in Teaching Arabic Language, Higher Education, Educational Research, Educational Authorship for Children, Innovative Educational Projects and Programs. Additionally, the third course of the Khalifa International Award for Early Learning Field includes two categories: Best Research and Studies and Best Programs, Curricula, Teaching Methodologies, and Practices.
Applications are open from 1st July to 31st December. Candidates can apply electronically on the Award’s website. Submitted files will undergo a rigorous screening process by specialised scientific committees. The winners will be announced in April 2025 at local, regional, and international levels.

Secretary-General Amal Al-Afeefi stated that the launch of the 18th session is a testament to the award’s commitment to academic excellence at various levels. She highlighted the award's success in recognising teaching and administrative cadres and community institutions that have significantly contributed to education.
The award's online platforms and intelligent apps have been upgraded to improve interaction with candidates. This development aims to enhance the application process and provide better services while reducing time and effort required from candidates.
Al-Afeefi emphasised the importance of this session in continuing the mission initiated in 2007. The award aims to motivate educational personnel to excel and launch initiatives that enhance education quality and performance.
Focus on Excellence
Over 18 years, the award has promoted a culture of excellence in general and higher education through its various fields. It has encouraged education professionals to embrace creativity, innovation, and leadership.
The current session's timetable includes receiving candidate applications electronically via a newly developed website. The screening phase will occur from 1st to 10th January 2025. Following this, specialised committees will evaluate candidates' performance until February.
Al-Afeefi added that the award has successfully bridged experiences among different elements of the educational process. This widespread interest in participation highlights its impact on advancing education at multiple levels.
The Secretary-General also mentioned that this session would include events, induction programs, and workshops aimed at encouraging professionals and institutions in education to participate actively.
