The museum will feature six permanent galleries across two floors, covering 300,000 years of human history. It will also include a temporary exhibition gallery and Al Masar Garden, an outdoor gallery stretching 600 metres. The collection comprises archaeological artefacts and historic objects that trace early human habitation in the UAE.

Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, stated: "Zayed National Museum embodies the UAE’s vision of culture as a cornerstone of societal and intellectual development. Rooted in this ancient land, with a rich history spanning millennia, it offers an exceptional experience that highlights the ongoing journey of our nation and reflects the values laid down by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan."

The museum explores civilisations, highlights trade route connections, and celebrates Emirati culture and heritage elements. H.H. Sheikh Khaled met with Emirati talent and project leaders managing the museum's completion. He praised their commitment to creating a world-class cultural destination that enhances Abu Dhabi’s cultural landscape.

H.H. Sheikh Khaled was joined by several dignitaries during his visit. These included Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoon bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Chairman of Abu Dhabi’s Crown Prince Court; Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad bin Hamdan Al Nahyan; Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak; Saif Saeed Ghobash; and Saood Abdulaziz Al Hosani.

"Zayed National Museum is a cultural beacon that embodies the enduring spirit of the Emirati people," said Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak. "It narrates the story of our timeless heritage and conveys the UAE’s message to the world in the universal language of civilisation."

The museum aims to serve as a bridge for dialogue between the UAE and other nations once it opens. It will further bolster Abu Dhabi’s reputation as a global centre for arts, culture, and creativity.
