Under the auspices of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the 21st Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award (SKEA) ceremony took place at the ADNEC Centre in Abu Dhabi. H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, honoured the winners. This event highlighted SKEA's commitment to promoting innovation and excellence within the business community.

H.H. Sheikh Khaled emphasised the award's role in encouraging organisations to adopt a culture of excellence and innovation. He stressed the importance of using advanced technologies and AI solutions to enhance organisational capabilities and operational efficiencies. This approach helps businesses adapt to changing regional and global market demands.

The ceremony celebrated seven companies for their leadership in business, growth strategies, and dedication to innovation. These organisations have embraced a culture of excellence, aligning with the UAE's economic vision. Their achievements contribute significantly to Abu Dhabi's strategic objectives.

Ahmed Jasim Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI), spoke about the transformative impact of excellence and innovation on economic progress. He stated, "Guided by the forward-looking vision of our leadership, Abu Dhabi’s ‘Falcon Economy’ continues to soar, establishing the Emirate as a global economic powerhouse and a premier destination for talent, businesses, and investments."

Al Zaabi highlighted SKEA's role as a catalyst for ambitious organisations. It empowers them to embrace innovation, elevate industry standards, and lead sustainable growth efforts. He added that ADCCI is committed to supporting businesses in navigating emerging challenges to ensure they remain at the forefront of progress.

SKEA has been organised by ADCCI since 1999 to promote local and global market access for Abu Dhabi businesses. It facilitates international expansion while boosting private sector competitiveness globally.

Award Winners and New Brand Identity

The winners included Archireef for its innovative coral reef cultivation technology; Shorooq for supporting SMEs with flexible investment models; Union Copper Rod for high-quality copper rod manufacturing; Pure Harvest Smart Farms for transforming agriculture with advanced technologies; Joud Coffee for blending creativity with community engagement; Hamda Al Fahim Design Studio for promoting fashion globally; VCharge for expanding solar-powered EV charging stations.

The ceremony also unveiled SKEA's new brand identity, reflecting Abu Dhabi’s economic goals prioritising innovation. This new identity inspires organisations to adopt advanced solutions, strive for operational excellence, and contribute positively to community growth.

Leadership Changes in SKEA Board

On the sidelines of the event, changes in SKEA's Board of Trustees were announced. Saeed Abdul Jalil Al Fahim was appointed Honorary Chairman. Dr. Yasir Al Naqbi became Chairman of the Board of Trustees, while Badr Salim Sultan Al-Olama was named Vice Chairman. The board also includes Mouza Obaid Al Nasri from Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development and several members from Abu Dhabi Chamber.

The Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award continues to inspire businesses towards achieving higher standards through strategic thinking and operational productivity.
