Khaled Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Visits Youth 4 Sustainability Hub At ADSW 2026
Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) 2026 is being held at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi until 15 January, with the Youth 4 Sustainability (Y4S) Hub by Masdar positioned as a key platform. The global initiative is designed to equip young people with skills, knowledge and opportunities to lead sustainability efforts across the environmental and energy sectors.
H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, visited the Y4S Hub during ADSW 2026. During the visit, H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed met Y4S participants and received detailed briefings on programmes that build youth capabilities and leadership in addressing climate and environmental challenges.
The Y4S Pavilion at Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week hosts panel sessions and open conversations with specialists, and highlights youth-led innovations and pilot projects. The space also connects young talents with sustainability-focused entrepreneurs to develop new ventures. Senior government representatives, business figures and subject-matter experts attend the pavilion, which supports climate dialogue, knowledge sharing and long-term strategic cooperation.
During the tour, H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed held discussions with Youth 4 Sustainability organisers about their ongoing and future plans. H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed praised the contribution of Y4S projects in educating and training young people, and in enabling active participation in climate action and sustainability agendas across different economic and social sectors.
H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan stressed the need for an integrated, sustainable framework for youth empowerment, so young people can act as genuine partners in shaping future sustainability pathways. H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed also underlined how advanced innovations, AI and state-of-the-art technologies can deliver measurable, long-term benefits for environmental and energy systems regionally and globally.
H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed was accompanied during the visit by Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and Chairman of Masdar; Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of the Department of Municipalities and Transport – Abu Dhabi; Dr. Abdulla Humaid Al Jarwan, Chairman of the Department of Energy – Abu Dhabi; and Saif Saeed Ghobash, Secretary-General of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council and Chairman of the Office of the Crown Prince.
The activities at the Youth 4 Sustainability Hub during Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2026 show how youth-focused capacity building, policy dialogue and technology adoption are being combined in the UAE. By linking decision-makers, experts and young innovators in one venue, the Y4S Pavilion supports ongoing regional and global efforts to advance practical climate solutions and sustainability leadership.
