Khaled Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Attends Al Hosn Festival To Emphasise Cultural Heritage In Abu Dhabi
H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, recently attended the Al Hosn Festival. This event, organised by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, runs from 25 January to 9 February 2025. It aims to celebrate Abu Dhabi's rich heritage and culture under the theme ‘A Living Expression of Abu Dhabi’s Culture’.
During his visit, H.H. Sheikh Khaled emphasised the significance of cultural events in preserving national identity. He noted that such festivals help instil traditional values in younger generations and foster communication between different age groups. These events are vital for maintaining the UAE's cultural heritage and embodying Emirati values.
The festival also saw attendance from several notable figures, including H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and H.H. Sheikh Zayed bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Other attendees included Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State, and Staff Lieutenant General (retired) Sheikh Saeed bin Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Nahyan.
Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoon bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Chairman of Abu Dhabi’s Crown Prince Court, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Tahnoon bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Director-General of Abu Dhabi Police, were also present. A number of other sheikhs and their children joined them at the festival.
Their Highnesses engaged with festival organisers to discuss its role in celebrating the UAE's cultural legacy. They explored various cultural, artistic, and entertainment activities featured in this year's programme. These activities aim to showcase authentic traditions and highlight the depth of Emirati values.
This edition of the Al Hosn Festival includes numerous events that celebrate national identity through traditional crafts and artistic performances. Workshops are also part of the programme, focusing on historical aspects of the UAE’s legacy and cultural heritage.

The presence of H.H. Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Managing Director of Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, further underscored the festival's importance. His participation highlighted support for initiatives that preserve and promote cultural heritage in Abu Dhabi.
