Khaled Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Celebrates Winners At Jiu-Jitsu Championship Conclusion In Abu Dhabi
H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, attended the final round of the second Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Jiu-Jitsu Championship. The event took place at Mubadala Arena in Zayed Sports City, Abu Dhabi. H.H. presented awards to winners in both Gi and No-Gi categories, recognising clubs and academies from across the UAE.
The championship spanned eight rounds from January to October 2025, with competitions held in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Fujairah. This event has become a significant sporting occasion, promoting self-confidence, respect, and teamwork among athletes of all ages. It featured more than 2,500 male and female competitors from local clubs and academies.
Abdulmunem Alsayed Mohammed Al Hashmi, Chairman of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation, expressed gratitude to H.H. for his support of national sports. He noted that H.H.'s presence at the championship final highlights leadership's vision to invest in youth through sports. This support has helped establish Abu Dhabi as a global model for jiu-jitsu development.
The championship included Gi competitions for various age groups: under-12, under-14, under-16, under-18, as well as adult and masters categories. The event's success reflects the high organisational standards and participation levels achieved through visionary leadership.
H.H. acknowledged the sponsors' contributions to the championship's success and their role in encouraging community involvement in sports. He praised the organising entities for their efforts in making the tournament a platform for nurturing new talent and enhancing jiu-jitsu's presence nationwide.
