KFSHRC Recognised With Patient Experience Award For Advancing Quality Care Initiatives In 2024
King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre (KFSHRC) has been honoured with the Patient Experience Award from the Ada’a Health Program. This accolade was presented by Minister of Health Fahad AlJalajel, with Chief Medical Officer Dr. Abdulaziz Alrashed accepting it on behalf of the hospital. The award recognises KFSHRC's innovative efforts in enhancing patient care.
KFSHRC has achieved significant milestones, including treating a patient with locally manufactured CAR-T cells and performing the first fully robotic heart transplant globally. Additionally, they conducted the region's inaugural robotic pancreas transplant, resolving a young man's type 1 diabetes struggle.
