KFSHRC Hosts The Second Precision Oncology Saudi Summit POSS 2025 In Madinah

Under the auspices of Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre (KFSHRC) is hosting the Second Precision Oncology Saudi Summit (POSS 2025). This event will occur from February 6 to 8 at the King Salman International Convention Centre in Madinah. It aims to gather experts from Saudi Arabia and beyond to discuss recent developments in precision oncology.

The summit's primary goal is to improve healthcare providers' skills in precision oncology. This approach customises cancer treatment based on individual patient needs rather than a one-size-fits-all method. The event will delve into molecular transformation tests for identifying new targeted therapies, using advanced platforms for better outcomes, and exploring innovative models that enhance treatment accuracy.

Dr. Emad Mohammed Khadawardi, Acting General Manager of KFSHRC in Madinah, emphasised the summit's focus on advanced testing techniques. These techniques aim to deepen understanding of tumour characteristics, allowing for more precise treatment selection for patients. The summit will also highlight modern technologies that enable more effective treatments and introduce innovations for common cancer types.
