KFSHRC To Host International Conference On Minimally Invasive Organ Transplant Techniques In Riyadh

The King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre (KFSHRC) is set to host the Minimally Invasive Organ Transplant Consensus Conference (MIOT.CC) from December 12 to 14. This event, taking place at the InterContinental Hotel in Riyadh, will bring together global experts and medical professionals to discuss advancements in minimally invasive transplant techniques. The focus will be on laparoscopic and robotic procedures that enhance surgical precision and patient outcomes.

Under the guidance of Prof. Dieter Broering, Executive Director of the Organ Transplant Center of Excellence, KFSHRC has achieved significant milestones in robotic surgery. The hospital performed the world’s first fully robotic living donor liver transplant, setting a new global standard for surgical innovation and safety. In 2024, it continued its pioneering work with the first fully robotic heart transplant.
