KFSH&RC Rolls Out New Virtual Pharmaceutical Consultation For Enhanced Patient Care
King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre (KFSH&RC) has launched a virtual pharmaceutical consultation appointment service. This new service allows patients to communicate with the hospital's pharmaceutical care providers without needing to visit the hospital. The initiative aims to enhance patient experience, operational efficiency, and sustainability through advanced technology.
The virtual consultation service is designed to make specialized healthcare more accessible, extending services to a broader range of patients. Patients can self-book an appointment with a pharmacist via the "Altakhassusi" app. This app enables users to seek answers regarding medication alternatives, changes in pharmaceutical forms, or adjustments in dosages and administration frequencies.

The Pharmaceutical Care Services Division at KFSH&RC highlighted that the "Altakhassusi" app is available on smartphones, providing an online care option for booking consultation appointments seamlessly. This service ensures patients receive timely pharmaceutical consultations from the comfort of their homes.
KFSH&RC has been ranked first in the Middle East and Africa and 20th globally on the list of the world's top 250 Academic Medical Centres for the second consecutive year. Additionally, it has been recognized as the most valuable healthcare brand in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East, according to the 2024 Brand Finance rankings.
In the same year, KFSH&RC was also ranked among the world's best 250 hospitals by Newsweek magazine. These accolades underscore the hospital's commitment to excellence in healthcare services and its ongoing efforts to leverage technology for better patient outcomes.
