KFSHRC Launches Second Dean's List Programme To Support High-Achieving Medical Students

King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre (KFSHRC) in Riyadh has introduced the second edition of its Dean's List academic program. This initiative is aimed at attracting top-performing medical students from Saudi universities to provide them with practical training experiences. The program reflects the hospital's dedication to excellence in specialized medical education, patient care, and advanced research.

Over 70 students from 10 universities across Saudi Arabia are participating in this program. These students are among the top 5% of their classes based on academic performance. The three-week program includes orientation sessions, intensive workshops on selecting medical specialties, building professional CVs, consultation meetings with senior specialists, and clinical training under direct supervision from the hospital's consultants.

The program is structured to bridge the gap between academic learning and clinical practice. By equipping students with essential skills and knowledge, KFSHRC aims to strengthen its position as a leading center for medical education while identifying promising Saudi talent for future recruitment. This initiative also helps in developing meaningful connections between theoretical knowledge and practical application.

KFSHRC has been recognized for its excellence beyond this program. It has been ranked first in the Middle East and North Africa and 15th globally among the world's top 250 Academic Medical Centers for two consecutive years. Additionally, it has been acknowledged as the most valuable healthcare brand in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East according to the 2024 Brand Finance rankings.

Newsweek magazine included KFSHRC in its list of the world's best 250 hospitals and the World’s Best Smart Hospitals list for 2025. Such recognitions highlight the hospital's commitment to maintaining high standards in healthcare services and innovation.

This comprehensive approach not only enhances students' learning experiences but also positions KFSHRC as a leader in medical education and healthcare services. By fostering a strong link between academia and clinical practice, KFSHRC continues to contribute significantly to the development of future healthcare professionals in Saudi Arabia.
