King Faisal Specialist Hospital Rolls Out Clinical Trials Awareness Drive
King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre (KFSHRC) announced that it will host the Clinical Trials Awareness Campaign on May 19-20 at Riyadh Park Mall. The campaign, themed "Together, we Nurture Hope," aims to educate the public about the significance of clinical research in developing new treatments and improving patient care.
Coinciding with International Clinical Trials Day on May 20, the event seeks to foster community awareness and promote a culture that values scientific research. KFSHRC experts will provide attendees with direct insights and educational resources. The event will also feature child-friendly activities, offering a comprehensive experience for families.

Participants will have the opportunity to interact directly with researchers and individuals who have participated in clinical trials. This initiative is part of the Clinical Trials Transformation Initiative (CTTI), which KFSHRC established in late 2021. The hospital aims to enhance the quality, diversity, and safety of clinical research through this initiative.
Last October, KFSHRC organized the Annual Conference on Clinical Trials Transformation, leading to the creation of a unified platform for clinical research. These efforts have resulted in 140 new clinical trials and provided over 1,200 patients with access to early innovative treatments. The hospital also participated in more than 80 clinical studies, saving approximately SAR62 million in healthcare costs.
KFSHRC is recognized as a global leader in specialized healthcare, innovation, and medical research. Through strategic partnerships with local, regional, and international institutions, the hospital is committed to advancing medical technologies and raising healthcare standards worldwide.
According to 2024 Brand Finance rankings, KFSHRC has been ranked first in Saudi Arabia and 20th globally among the world’s top 250 healthcare institutions for the second consecutive year. It has also been recognized as the most valuable healthcare brand in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East. Additionally, Newsweek magazine ranked KFSHRC among the world's best 250 hospitals.
