KFSHRC Honoured For Significant Contributions To Community Health In Madinah

King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center (KFSHRC) in Madinah has been honoured with the Ministry of Health Shield. This award, presented by Governor of Madinah Region Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, recognises the hospital's dedication to community service. The ceremony was attended by Minister of Health Fahad AlJalajel. The accolade highlights KFSHRC's role in supporting Madinah's re-accreditation as a "Healthy City" for 2025 by the World Health Organization (WHO).

KFSHRC has been instrumental in enhancing public health indicators through various initiatives. These efforts align with Saudi Vision 2030 and focus on creating a sustainable and healthy environment. The hospital has led health awareness campaigns and community projects that adhere to WHO’s Healthy Cities criteria, significantly improving quality of life.

KFSHRC Recognised for Community Health Efforts

The hospital in Madinah boasts a capacity of 400 beds, catering to both local residents and those from surrounding areas. It specialises in several medical fields, including pediatric and adult oncology, ophthalmology, and obstetrics and gynecology. Additionally, KFSHRC has secured 14 accreditations for training across diverse medical and nursing specialties.

Globally, KFSHRC has achieved significant recognition. It ranks first in the Middle East and North Africa region and 15th worldwide among the top 250 Academic Medical Centers for two consecutive years. According to Brand Finance's 2025 rankings, it is also acknowledged as the most valuable healthcare brand in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East.

In addition to its regional accolades, KFSHRC has been listed among the world's best hospitals. Newsweek magazine included it in their World's Best Smart Hospitals list for 2025. This recognition underscores the hospital's commitment to excellence in healthcare delivery and innovation.
